Construction Project Manager

 

We are currently seeking a Construction Project Manager to manage design-build federal government and military renovation work out of North Mississippi

Job Description for the Construction Project Manager:

This position is responsible for the execution of projects in governmentregulated environments. Position will primarily support military clients. This position will be responsible for managing and/or overseeing projects to include: client relations, team member relations, budgets, estimating, cost control, schedules, subcontractors, changes, technical/contractual compliance, safety, invoicing, etc.; provide input into and review all project plans; coordinate and monitor project performance in accordance with approved work plans, budgets and schedules; accurately forecast and schedule revenues and resource needs and take all necessary actions to maintain required performance and meet budgets and schedules; ensure that required health and safety protocols are strictly followed at all times. This position may also be required to support business development efforts, as needed.

Qualifications of the Project Manager:

Federal government and or military project experience serving as lead project manager M construction projects. Design-build experience. BA or BS in engineering (civil) or related technical field related to construction degree preferred.

  • 5 years construction project management.
  • Experienced in DoD project protocols.
  • Must have on site construction experience.
  • Must be able to identify potential clients and build relationships at the highest possible corporate level.
  • Must have a working knowledge of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical civil and design practices and concepts, excellent working knowledge of current building codes and regulations.
  • Must be confident in directing and coordinating field construction staff and subcontractors.
  • Must be organized and have ability to make independent decisions, multi-task and delegate.
  • Must be able to prepare subcontract scopes of work and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Must be able to prepare and submit budget estimates and progress cost tracking reports.
  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with corporate executives. Collect real time marketing data from internal team marketing meetings.
  • Must have an understanding of Safety and Health .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word, aptitude/willingness to learn other management software programs.

Other Requirements:

Physical ability to oversee project activities as related to the position, including travel to project sites. Understands federal DoD government contracting requirements; strong work ethic and leadership capabilities; commitment to excellence for safety, schedules, quality and procurement.
