Description

Position: Accounts Receivable Analyst

A Client of ours near Penns Grove, NJ is looking for an A/R Analyst to be responsible for a variety of accounts receivable functions from invoicing, researching, analyzing and resolving, applying payments, and reporting balances.

 

Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Analyst:

  • Invoice customers/co-manufacturer for finished goods, miscellaneous billings, and production agreements
  • Ensure proper recording and application of cash
  • Investigate and identify deductions and short pays
  • Analyze and identify trends and track customer’s behaviors
  • Communicates effectively with customers and brokers
  • Recognize and collect invalid deductions from customer in appropriate timeframe
  • Collaborate with other departments to determine root cause of process errors
  • Provide support for internal and external audits
  • Other general accounting tasks and projects as assigned

 

Requirements of the Accounts Receivable Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant work experience in consumer products manufacturing (food/beverage especially) strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to be productive with assigned accounting tasks
