Description

Seeking an experienced Receptionist for a temp to hire opportunity in Burlington. Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.  Background check required

 

Position Overview

Reporting to the office manager, the Receptionist will be responsible for offering exceptional customer service to both existing and potential customers.  He or she will be the first person many customers speak with, so it is essential that this person have a positive attitude, a calm demeanor, and the ability to multitask and handle customer inquiries quickly and efficiently.  The receptionist will also be responsible for occasional order entry.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer telephone calls and route them as appropriate
  • Answer phone and email inquiries from customers regarding order status
  • Take messages, respond to questions, and determine customer needs, directing callers to appropriate parties
  • Accurately perform order entry utilizing company portal
  • Review purchase orders for clarity and accuracy
  • Update and maintain customer/lead databases
  • Support outside Sales Representatives as needed
  • General office duties and projects; i.e. filing, scanning, mailing of invoices, collating sample packets.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year experience in an receptionist or admin role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent data entry skills; accuracy is a must
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • PC proficient, Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills, good follow-up, quick to adapt to new tasks and have an exceptional work ethic.
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to think critically and work through problems effectively/independently.
  • Able to follow established processes as well as make improvement recommendations for maximum office efficiency.
