Electrical Substation Design Engineer
We are currently seeking an Electrical Substation Design Engineer in the Atlanta area. The Electrical Substation Design Engineer is responsible for high voltage substation engineering and design. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop scopes of work, conceptual designs, and execution plans
  • Work within a project team to create all design documents and drawings for a project, including creating wiring diagrams from schematics, generating bills of materials, and applying field mark-ups of project as-built drawings with minimal supervision
  • Protection and control design including panel arrangements, one lines/single lines, three lines, AC schematics, DC elementary diagrams, equipment wiring and relay panel wiring
  • Prepare calculations for studies and reports (grounding, lighting protection, AC/DC load studies, etc.)
  • Coordinate design activities with other departments (Civil/Structural, Networks, Transmission Line, etc.)

Qualifications                                                                        

  • BSME or Associates degree with prior experience
  • Experience in application of relays and metering in high voltage electrical substations at 138kV and above
  • Experience in the design of electrical schematics for relay applications and control systems as well as connection drawings and cabling.
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Microstation
