Davis Engineering is partnering with an established and growing Aerospace company in the Alhambra, CA area to hire an experienced FPGA design engineer for a role which will start either as contract to direct or direct placement, this is an immediate need. Relocation is a possibility. FPGA Design Engineer

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Requirements capture, Digital/FPGA architecture and design, implementation, test, and debug

• Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point DSP algorithms, IIR/FIR filters, and PID etc.

• RTL coding and simulation in Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.

• Work with minimal supervision

Requirements   MINIMUM EDUCATION:

• MS EE, CE, or Computer science major

• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience Altera/Xilinx FPGA and ARM Based SOC FPGA processors

• Experience and knowledge on digital signal processing (DSP) and implementations

• Experience on Verilog or VHDL, scripting language,

• Experience on simulation and synthesis (e.g. ModelSim, Synopsys, FPGA-specific tools).

• Experiences on digital, mixed signal circuit designs.

• Experience and knowledge of DDR3/4, LPDDR3/4, NAND Flash, CAN, SPI, and USB etc.

• Experience using revision control

• Experience on software/hardware partitions and trades, hands-on system performance verification and validation in the lab.
