Job Overview: 

A Test Engineer is an engineering professional who tests technical products for an organization to ensure proper functionality before the product is used or sold.  Reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Detail of Responsibilities:

Is responsible for all direct Engineering support & development of test processes.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:  Act as the primary liaison between company and its customers regarding the integration of new test processes.  Ongoing test equipment suitability assessment/change recommendations.  Resolve test yield problems by performing analysis of root cause, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.

Skill Requirements:

Formal or informal training related to the following as it pertains to contract manufacturing:

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.  Read and interpret customer specifications.
  • Commanding knowledge of Analog, Digital and RF circuit theories and techniques.
  • Evaluate circuit designs.  Read and interpret customer specifications.
  • Ability to use all standard test equipment: oscilloscope, spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, etc.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or 8+ years of on the job related experience/training.

Six Sigma Green Belt preferred but not required

RF and ESS Programming experience a plus
