We are looking for an Oracle Apps DBA with extensive E-Business Suite experience. This is a contract to hire opportunity.  

The Senior Oracle Application DBA will administer and maintain the security/integrity of Oracle application as well as databases. Periodic database/application maintenance/troubleshooting, patches, upgrade, backup/recovery, environment refreshes, incident/problem management along with integration with other business applications.

Proficient in application/database performance/tuning, cloning/replication from production to lower environments. Develops processes, procedures and defines metrics for capacity management. Perform backup/recovery using RMAN and able to write/modify shell scripts (k-shell). This position requires support for Oracle application version and up, core databases, and third-party applications. Candidate must be willing to learn third party applications such as Salesforce, Automic, Informatica, Cognos, Agile, WebMethods.  Candidate having experience migrating applications to cloud (AWS) will be given preference.


  • Oracle Applications (11i - support, including Installation, patching, cloning, system administration, troubleshooting and backups using RMAN
  • Creating users, configuring printers, assigning responsibilities, support for multi-org, multi-language, multi-currency and Workflow Mailer
  • Perform application and database tuning, performance monitoring, investigate/troubleshoot critical production/non-production issues
  • Provide day to day and project support for Oracle applications and other databases
  • Support and re-install SSL certificate to production and non-production environments
  • Performs cloning procedures (refresh non-production databases from production)
  • Provide support to various in-house teams such as Unix/Operations/Development/QA/BA
  • Provide support for financial audit requirements for Oracle RDBMS and E-Business Suite
  • Proactively monitor and perform health-check for the databases and E-Business Suite using Oracle Grid 12c/13c
  • Provide support for RAC (Real Application Cluster) databases version 11g/12c
  • Administer Oracle database security across all databases and maintain financial audit/licenses requirements for Oracle RDBMS and E-Business Suite
  • Write new scripts and modify the existing scripts to meet automation goals
  • Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle
  • Setup and maintain documentation and standards
  • Follow the sun model, work as part of a global IT team, part of on-call team on rotational basis
  • Daily interaction with off-shore team for warm hand-over of critical projects
  • Learn and support Salesforce weekly deployments to various environments including production
  • Willing to learn and support other third-party applications (Web-Methods, Agile, Automic, Informatica, Cognos, etc.)


The ideal candidate will have degree in information technology with minimum 6-10 years of progressive experience. This is a pure technical role and candidate must have hands-on experience.
