Description

Inventory Clerk

The Inventory Attendant is a position that receives, maintains and disburses inventory for manufacturing and assembly.  This position utilizes the attendant’s skills and knowledge to efficiently process and accurately maintain the inventory required to produce precision aerospace components.

 

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and keeps records of quantity, type, and value of material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies.
  • Issue inventory for manufacture and assembly to satisfy production requirements.
  • Visually inspect components for conformance to specifications.
  • Verifies record computations against physical count of inventory and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Ensure that standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work including product verification, inventory transactions, cycle counting, documentation, and material handling.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Act as a role model, coach and trainer for new associates to foster a team environment.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Support improvement projects as assigned.
