Our client in Marlborough is looking for a manufacturing technician/Electromechanical assembler to join their team on a first shift basis.

Manufacturing Technician


  • Focused on developing next-generation medical products based on state-of-the-art lasers. The M prototypes.
  • Assemble, test, integrate, inspect and repair laser medical products, assemblies, and prototypes
  • Monitor and manipulate instruments and processes used to test medical device products, including assembling, calibrating, imp
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Research in troubleshooting and improving laser medical systems
  • Write or assist in the development and review of internal or external manufacturing or service documentation, test plans and te
  • Read, interpret schematics and work instructions required to ensure proper testing of medical devices
  • Perform root cause investigations on systems/subassemblies using basic troubleshooting
  • Assist with inventory control and inventory cycle counts, when needed
  • Meet all applicable quality and safety requirements and standards
  • Assist with performing monthly verification of all calibrated equipment used to ensure all is within calibration dates and reports


Experience Desired:

  • 3+ years of production experience with medical devices and assembly of clinical prototypes
  • Proficient in using test equipment, such as digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, lab power supplies, etc.
  • Proficient in light manufacturing and assembly equipment, such as PCB soldering stations, wire cutters/strippers, screwdrivers, tape measure, wrenches and other small hand tools
  • Laser/optical assembly, alignment experience with high power and/or Q-switched lasers is preferred
  • Education Required: High school diploma is required
  • Associates of Science degree in engineering or technical discipline is preferred
  • Personal Requirements: Proficiently communicates in English; writes in a timely fashion
  • Must be analytical, observant, patient and communicative when it comes to the precise nature of their work
  • Detail oriented with close attention to accuracy and ability to follow through
  • Works well in a team environment and as an individual contributor
  • Has the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the company.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22C.F.R. §120.15 are required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee. License exception Technology and software under restriction (TSR) defined in 15 CFR 740.6 may permit person from Country Group B.
