Description

Our client located in Newton, Ma is looking for an Electro-Plating Technician to join their team on a Direct Hire basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility is to perform electro-plating and assembly activities.
  • Follow Company Safety rules and wear protective equipment as required.
  • Must be comfortable handling chemicals required for production processes.
  • Preparing parts for plating: sandblasting and chemical processing.
  • Control rectifiers and plating parameters to achieve desired plating thickness.
  • Conduct quality inspections on parts using x-ray and other instruments to verify plating thickness.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and ordering.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Verifying and recording processing information on written logs and create process documents.
  • Identify process problems or quality issues and notify the appropriate personnel.
  • Interact with other manufacturing areas and personnel as required to meet production schedules.

 

 

Qualifications
 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum three years’ experience or equivalent.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
  • Comfortable with computers, specifically Microsoft Excel basics (data entry).
  • Experience with chemical processing (cleaning, electro-plating).
  • Prior handling of different types of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals in a laboratory, R&D or manufacturing facility.
