Punch Press Programmer
We are currently assisting our client in their search for a Punch Press Programmer. This position is located in the Duluth area and is amazing temp to hire opportunity for someone looking to grow their programming skills. 

This position pays in the $17 to $22 an hour range based on experience and interview.

Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing with an accurate and complete program package for fabrication equipment. 
  • Work with the manufacturing engineer and outside customers to assure that components are readily manufacturable and programmable. 
  • Help ensure that the Fabrication schedule is accurate and maintained on a daily basis. 
  • Interpret engineering documents such as drawings, change orders, specifications and technical manuals. 
  • Operate department production equipment and performs quality inspections, housekeeping activities and administrative tasks as assigned. 

Requirements

  • Proficient in using JetCAM.
  • Able to interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to manipulate customers SolidWorks, Autocad, and DXF files.
  • Basic knowledge of G-codes a plus.
  • Working knowledge of bending deductions.
  • Must have knowledge including variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Must be able to use inspection equipment (calipers and micrometers)
  • Must have experience performing Set-Ups, Lay-Outs and Operating various CNC Sheet Metal machinery (Press Brakes, Lasers, Turrets and/or other various CNC machinery).
