The Quality Assurance Supervisor performs and oversees quality assurance for a food manufacturing facility. Responsible for quality assurance, process control specifications, and testing activities, and Food Safety & GMPs.  Implements techniques and processes for testing and inspecting products and process controls.  Conducts research and recommends appropriate changes in methods and procedures.

Shift: 10am-8pm (rotating weekends) OT available  


  • GMPs, Food Safety & Sanitation activities.
  • Coordinate and direct quality testing and process control activities.
  • Develop standards, maintain and implement programs to improve quality.
  • Investigate customer complaints.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate Quality Systems. Assures compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards to include HACCP, SQF Standards, Food Safety Guidelines and GMP’s.
  • Actively contributes to the data collection, trend analysis, investigations and improvements to process, products and systems.
  • Manage and resolve non-conformance issues.
  • Assist in writing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Make decisions concerning sample collecting and testing.
  • Daily test equipment maintenance and quality control.
  • Knowledge of critical values and testing for moisture, density, protein, fat etc.
  • Responsible for inspecting and testing products.
  • Investigates causes of faulty product, test failures, and takes proper corrective action.
  • Manage the day-to-day quality assurance of food products produced and shipped.
  • Responsible for the implementation and management of the internal Quality Audit procedure and schedule.
  • Responsible for raw and packaging acceptance and quality monitoring.
  • Implements Corporate Policies within the Plant and reports on status and progress.
  • Supervise and support QA techs in daily tasks.
  • Maintain the HACCP Plan to ensure food safety.
  • Coordinate with production on regulatory and quality issues, and document corrective actions.
  • Review specifications.

Skills & Requirements:

  • HACCP Certified
  • BS in Food Science, Biology or equivalent required.
  • 2 -5 years’ experience in quality assurance in a food manufacturing plant required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Food Safety, Safe Quality Foods certification and Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required
  • Primarily a 1st shift position, but must be flexible, at times to work 2nd shift as needed.
  • Ability to operate standard lab equipment
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities

Looking for someone with at least a year of supervisor experience, preferably in manufacturing environment.
