Description

Davis Companies has partnered with a leading Audio manufacturing company in the area to identify an Assembly/Soldering team member! 

Responsibilities of Soldering & Assembly Tech:
• Build complex electronic and mechanical assemblies according to Bill-of-Materials, drawings, and/or process work instructions in a timely manner.
• Assembly of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, wires, etc) and subassemblies by following instructions, visual aids, prints, diagrams, and sample parts.
• Hand populate through-hole and SMT components onto PCBs following component installation sequence and polarity orientations. Wash PCBs using cleaning equipment. • Solder components onto PCBs by using tools such as soldering irons, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools.
• Perform electronic assembly operations such as wire termination, installation of wire harness, cable assemblies, relays, transformers, capacitors, resistors or other electronic components.
 

Qualifications of Soldering & Assembly Tech:
• HS Diploma/GED is required
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification is preferred.
• Strong eye-hand coordination, vision and manual dexterity to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
• >5 years’ experience soldering through hole parts to circuit boards.
• Can use all mechanical and electrical assembly and test equipment, fixtures, tools and equipment, including hand tools, wire cutters, pliers, nut drivers, screw drivers, etc.
• Proficient understanding of PCB assembly drawings and related documents, including polarity orientations.
