Description

We are seeking exceptional candidates who thrive in fast paced work environments. Our client supplies custom built industrial control panels to world class manufacturing companies. Team members must be mechanically inclined, able to work together as a team and demonstrate strong character and work ethic. This position is located in the Alpharetta area and the pay ranges from $15 to $19 per hour based on interview and skill set.                       

Manufacturing Wireman

Assemble and wire high-quality, custom-engineered industrial control panels in a lean manufacturing environment that serves a variety of industries, including pulp and paper, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, and power.

Qualifications:

  • Must be mechanically inclined and proficient with power and hand tools
  • Must be task oriented and thrive in fast paced schedule driven work environment
  • Must have excellent fine motor skills and dexterity for wiring tasks
  • Punctuality and dependability required for this position
  • Willingness to learn and embrace our manufacturing practices and standards
  • Hard working, self-motivated and focused with a sense of urgency to meet project deadlines
  • Comfortable working in team environment sharing job duties, strong communication skills required
  • Willing to work overtime and Saturdays when needed to maintain project deadlines
  • No previous control panel manufacturing experience required
  • Ability to read electrical schematics a plus
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Must be able to read and write
  • Drug test required

Job Duties:

  • Assemble and wire components neatly, with speed and accuracy while meeting approved company's manufacturing specifications and standards
  • Wire terminating includes proper selection of wire for the application, measure, cut to length, accurate and consistent strip of insulation, consistent placement of wire label, and terminate wire with proper torque on correct terminal locations
  • Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance
  • Rotate through multiple stations on a given shift, must be flexible and dependable to meet delivery deadlines
  • Complete tasks within time allotted per the project schedule
  • Meet or exceed production expectations and adhere strictly to company's policies
  • Requires ability to read electrical schematics (will train candidates who meet qualifications)
  • Requires ability to read project specifications to determine correct component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units (will train candidates who meet qualifications)
  • Requires understanding of UL manufacturing guidelines (will train candidates who meet qualifications)
