Seeking an Associate Production Control Planner for a contract to hire opportunity in the Westford, MA area. 


The Associate Production Control Planner is responsible for utilizing ERP tools to schedule the production floor to meet customer requirements. The Associate Production Control Planner will also communicate build status data and schedules to internal teams for analysis and schedule change management reviews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review the production schedule, determine material status, and release work orders according to the build schedule
  • Work with operations to provide cost and schedule impacts to deviations, engineering change orders, and purges
  • Assist with resolving production bottlenecks
  • Report all daily build information against plan
  • Perform data gathering activities in support of service reconciliations
  • Understand sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates
  • Assist in ensuring successful new product introductions and engineering change orders into manufacturing.
  • Work with procurement organization to review material shortages and determine recovery to the plan as required
  • Prepare build status reports to keep cross functional team members informed
  • Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business


  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 2+ years experience in supply chain, production planning or materials planning
  • Business tools/applications proficiency (i.e. E-mail, Excel, MS Word etc.).
  • ISO 9001 knowledge
  • Knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and capacity planning
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other groups
