Education & Experience Required:

1. Possess a high school diploma or approved GED
2. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and minimum 2-5 years
3. Strong Excel, Outlook and Communication Skills required
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels.
5. Transportation Management System experience preferred but not required

Position Summary

To ensure the coordinating/dispatching of all inbound and outbound shipments are carried out in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.

Skills & Abilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Generate all Bill of Ladings, customer labels, and customer requested documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
2. Generate and maintain all required shipping documentation
3. Process all inbound receipts, labels and paperwork
4. Sustain a high level of communication via phone and email
5. Maintain shipment logs in excel and Transportation Management System (TMS)
6. Notifies warehouse of any special instructions on receiving or shipping.
7. Obtain necessary documentation for cross-dock function and for outbound shipments
8. Maintain driver sign in sheet and verify load plans carrier information
9. Customer Service oriented business acumen

        Non-Essential Functions:

1. Answers phone calls in a prompt manner
2. Computer Experience (Microsoft and Excel Skills required)
3. Performs all office duties including faxing, copying, and scanning
4. Have knowledge of standard practices and procedures within a particular field.
5. Must follow established routine.  Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible lead or supervisor.
6. Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, weekends, and overtime as demanded by the job. 

Performance Goals

1. Zero customer complaints and zero safety violations
2. Shipping and Rate Confirmation of 99% in accordance with procedures
3. Possess good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with fellow employees and supervision
