Description

The DAVIS Companies has partnered with a leader in the control panel industry by securing an Electrical Manufacturing Technician to join their team. This is a 1st shift position with a very innovative company. 

Position Summary of an Electrical Manufacturing Technician:
This position contributes to all aspects of electrical control panel production. This includes assembly and installation of components, installation and terminating wire, quality control, and electrically testing the panel down to the circuit level. Additionally, this position will provide support to engineering should quality issues or improvement opportunities be identified.

Duties of an Electrical Manufacturing Technician:
  • Layout, assemble and wire electrical control panels
  • Hands on mechanical assembly and electrical wiring
  • Assist other production staff
  • Work closely with engineering
  • Redline documentation
  • Provide suggestions for improvements to better support future orders
  • Participate in the testing process
  • Assist in ongoing design and development of Control Panels
  • Check for proper tooling
  • Confirm if proper infastracture is in place to assemble the product
  • Confirm packaging solution is adequate
  • Review panel layout for manufacturability, wire routing and compliance to manufacturing standard
  • Assist with daily operations of the manufacturing plant
  • Help with resolving issues on current products
  • Incorrect or unclear document clarification
  • Clarify incorrectly built product and request reworked product

Qualifications of an Electrical Manufacturing Technician:
  • Associates Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience 
  • PLC troubleshooting/programming experience highly preferred. Technical PLC coursework will be considered
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Understanding of basic electrical circuits 
  • Willingness to work both in the office and on the production floor
  • Willingness to attend training courses
  • Limited travel (less than 20%)
