We are searching for a Quality Inspector in Waltham, MA area on a contract to hire basis. Drug and Background are required. This position is first shift 7am-3:30pm.

Purpose of the Quality Inspector:
  • Ensure the quality of the parts produced meet customer expectations. 
  • Quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found.  
  • Ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality system standards. 
  • Conduct Incoming, in process and final inspection. Receive and ship parts, systems and units.
  • Job Duties of the Quality Inspector:
  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Collaborate with customers’ quality and engineering personnel to determine critical part features and review manufacturability of design. 
  • Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
  • Perform incoming, in process and final inspection of parts and final assemblies. Create shipping documents, and maintain shipping and receiving data base
  • Create and maintain quality database.
  • Evaluate inspection process for accuracy and recommend changes to both the process and equipment.
Quality Inspector Skills and Qualifications:
  • Dealing with Complexity, Informing Others, Leadership, Manufacturing Quality, Product Development, and Presenting Technical Information, Associate’s degree in Engineering or ASQ certification. Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical knowledge of metal forming and assembly processes
  • Background in GD&T.
  • 3-5 years of related experience required. –
  • Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, ability to use precision measuring tools, and hands-on capabilities to work on projects without supervision. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Prefer Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, project management, FMEAs, and quality systems experience.
  • International customer experience.
