Description

Top Manufacturing organization in Ashland, MA is seeking an Order Entry Specialist to join their team.  This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility to convert to permanent for the right candidate. Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm. Drug and Background check required.                                                                                              

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role will have full responsibility to accurately enter and manage both domestic and international orders.  This requires a clear understanding of the customer requirements, structure of orders as well as the ordering process cycle.  This role will be an interface between customer service, the sales organization and operations to drive order entry accuracy, material availability, order efficiencies and customer service excellence.  This role is both tactical where you will be entering detailed level order information into a system and also strategic where you will be using data available to drive customer improvements. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Input customer orders into ERP system by understanding material availability and partnering with the planners in supply chain to appropriately time the order.
  • Process order timing changes within ERP based on request of customer, sales team member or operations.
  • Run reports to analyze status of orders and troubleshooting order delays by partnering with sales & operations planning.
  • Using the order details, order dates and order status data- attend weekly sales & operations planning meetings to follow-up on orders and implement actions to fulfill customer needs.
  • Support customer service representative by editing and updating orders through their request.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient experience working within in ERP system; Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, etc.
  • Materials planning and order processing experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office required
  • Analytical and has the ability to use data to propose solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required.
