Description

CONTRACT Aviation Mechanical Designer

Overview:The Contract. Mechanical Systems Designer Analyst will be responsible for the development, integration and testing of an aircraft modernization program (Structural, aerial refueling, environmental control, auxiliary power, auto-pilot, on-board oxygen.

This person will be working with a team of Designers to development, integration and testing of an aircraft modernization program (Structural, aerial refueling, environmental control, auxiliary power, on-board oxygen generation system, re-engineering, etc.) . Generate drawings and or 3D models for Mechanical Systems approval (company)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 • Performs analysis as required to ensure proper component design and/or selection of COTS material. 

• Investigates and resolves production/manufacturing problems as they relate to systems engineering.

 • Dispositions MRB’s for Mechanical Systems content; coordinates, resolves and tracks RFC and LAR, requests.

 • Daily attendance is an essential part of this position.

 • Previous aircraft experience in the analysis of Environmental Control Systems, Auxiliary Power Units and Fuel Systems required. Previous aircraft experience in the analysis of Onboard Oxygen Generating Systems or Pressurized Refueling Systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Required: BS ME or equivalent experience in related technical field with 4+ years of experience Previous aircraft experience in aerospace structural design, Environmental Control Systems, Auxiliary Power Units and Fuel Systems is required.

 EXPERIENCE, SKILL, AND KNOWLEDGE:

 • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in aircraft mechanical systems design

• Knowledge of FAA certification requirements.

• CAD experience is necessary.

Note: We need someone capable of sizing components, providing system design and determining the compatibility of legacy components with our new design. In short, someone who can direct our existing designers based on both their experience and analytical ability
