Description

Industrial Engineer

We are currently looking for an Industrial Engineer on a contract basis to help a local client with optimization of a division of their manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting time studies and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Conduct time studies in the assembly/refurbish area of the manufacturing plant.
  • Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification
  • Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data
  • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
  • Manage cost and time constraints
  • May also participate in other Six Sigma improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting time studies in a manufacturing environment (preferably assembly related)
  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Industrial)
  • Proven work experience in process manufacturing, quality, project management, continuous improvement
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Cycle Time Reduction
  • Root Cause analysis
  • Commercial and financial acumen with a full understanding of the impact of failure in terms of business cost, production schedules and customer order fulfillment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with six sigma, lean, 5s, and other similar methodologies.
