Manufacturing Engineer


  • Project work relating to new product introduction and ramp up of current production in support of the targeted business growth objectives
  • Standardization of processes, process documentation, material flow, process metrics and monitoring.
  • Generation and management of manufacturing and work standards and associated work centers.
  • Handling issues which arise as new products transition to full production, especially in support of customer needs
  • Responding to production process problems and driving the implementation of solutions
  • Representing the company directly with customers when required
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and root causes of any inefficiency in manufacturing. Proposing and implementing improvements for improving process (e.g. cost reduction, quality improvement, and lead time reduction) and increasing predictability of outcomes.


  • BS in Material Science and Engineering or a closely related discipline is required
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a production environment
  • Familiarity with mechanical design software; e.g. Solidworks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical application of AS9100, ISO 9001-2008 or other specialized quality systems
  • Management of material production and changes using a structured process
  • Experience with ceramic manufacturing processes such as tape casting, high temperature furnacing and material characterization
  • Familiarity with the standard methods for joining ceramic-to-metal and metal-to-metal components, e.g., brazing, welding, soldering, etc. a plus
