Manufacturing Engineer

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our client in Laconia, NH on a contract or contract to hire basis. 

Responsibilities:

•Create and implement lean processes in a cellular environment utilizing appropriate methods for small volume high complex assemblies

•Define, produce, and implement documents including standard work and process work instructions

•Create, review, and approve engineering drawings, equipment layouts, change orders and specifications 

•Develop tooling, fixtures and equipment used in manufacturing to optimize productivity and cost

•Collaborate with development, customers, suppliers and cross-functional peers to evaluate designs for manufacturability and cost reduction

•Create and execute validation protocols, processes and material evaluations

•Effectively own and manage CAPAs pertaining to their areas of responsibility

Requirements:

•Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree with at least 5 years of experience in the medical device industry

•Lean manufacturing experience with new product development or launch support  

•Statistical knowledge (Mini-tab) and understanding of metals machining and polishing is preferred   

•Robotics experience highly desired from identification of robotic system, effective machine tending to implementation

•Ability to drive improvements through root cause analysis and data driven decision-making

•Have strong SolidWorks experience
