Description

The Davis Companies has partnered with a leading aerospace manufacturer in Oxnard, CA that is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team.  This position would be responsible for the continuous review and improvement of instructions to enhance uniformity and meet quality standards in the manufacturing process. Supports all production programs and work areas to enhance quality inspection methodology while ensuring standardization of process definitions within documented work instructions. 

Responsibilities of Quality Engineer:
* Creation and on-going development of work instructions
* Verification and validation to assure product and process integrity
* Responsible for ensuring accurate definition of inspection criteria
* Support program personnel in the First Article Inspection
* Provide support to inspection personnel and assembly workers
* Perform contract reviews as well as drawings and specifications review
* Prepare for and performs internal ISO/AS audits
* Perform Pre-Cap and Source Inspection internally and off-site as customer and supplier

Requirements of Quality Engineer:
* B.S. Degree in Engineering preferred with 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Process Development and Improvement
* Experience in - microelectronics industry, preferably RF/microwave technology - contract reviews - corrective action and process improvement
* Knowledge of SPC, with ability to monitor and report trends internally and externally (suppliers)
* Knowledge of geometric tolerances and reading blue prints/production drawings, including - Machining symbols - Electrical symbols
* Ability to use High & Low power microscopes, optical comparator and inspection gages
* Basic knowledge of ESD, J-Std-01, IPC-610, IPC-6012 procedures and workmanship standards
* Basic knowledge of Mil Std 105e, Mil Std 883, and Mil PRF-38534
