Description

Our client located in Bedford, MA is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks required for the entire development lifecycle, including specification development, design, functional testing and troubleshooting, Validation and verification, and transition to production;
  • Code RTL projects using best coding practices;
  • Develop products, following the appropriate procedures, and processes, for development, test, and release activities;
  • Carry out complex assignments requiring development of new or improved engineering techniques or procedures;
  • Troubleshoot and debug electrical engineering design, implementation, and integration;
  • Conduct design reviews and release of assemblies;
  • Write electrical engineering specifications and test plans;
  • Review and approve electrical engineering documents and documentation;
  • Coordinate change control
  • Provide verification/validation support;
  • Interact regularly with Management to communicate status of milestones and impact of technical hurdles;
  • Adhere to safety rules, company policies and procedures, QSR and ISO regulations;

Job Function:

Develop, test and verify RTL designs;

  • Develop analog, digital and mixed signal electronics;
  • Use advanced engineering techniques, theory and practices in the electrical engineering development lifecycle;

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Other degrees with significant experience and track record in delivering high-end electrical  designs including significant RTL content will be considered;

Experience:

  • 10+ years in electrical engineering design
  • HDL design experience (VHDL or Verilog)
  • Analog and digital circuit design
  • Firmware development is a plus

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Electronic Systems design including schematic, layout and routing
  • HDL coding and algorithm development
  • Electronics Troubleshooting and Testing,
  • Analyzing Information , Reporting Research Results,

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to self-organize and work with minimal supervision;
  • Strong hands-on RTL development skills; with a focus on product design;
  • Extensive experience in designing for scalability, producibility, and reliability;
  • Experience design using industry best practices in electrical engineering design;
  • Experience with medical devices a plus;
  • Excellent written and oral skills;
