Description

Product Assembly

Responsibilities of Product Assembly

  • Assemble pre-ordered and fabricated metal and electrical components in accordance with provided assembly drawings and publications using basic tooling such as items listed above.
  • Pre-inspect items received in shop upon receipt and prior to assembly to ensure products meet documented specifications and attached packing slips when applicable.
  • Terminate electrical connections for in-shop testing and pre-shipment requirements.
  • Clean products after final assembly to reflect “new” condition prior to preparing for shipment.
  • Perform packaging duties to ensure equipment being shipped is adequately protected and contained to avoid any possibility of damage during shipping.
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standardsestablished within the facility.
  • Report any unsafe conditions/practices or other safety concerns or violations to the Production Manager immediately.
  • Good housekeeping practices assisting in daily clean-up duties as well as a clean, neat work environment throughout the course of the work day as required.

Requirement of Product Assembly 

  • Minimum of 1 year assembly experience assembling products using basic mechanical tools such as ratchets/sockets, wrenches of various types, battery operated drills, etc. Forklift experience is a plus.
  • The ability to read mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings. Electrical drawings are a plus.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read a wiring diagram.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a safe manner using recognized lifting procedures.
