Description

Machine Operator/Belt Fabrication: 1st shift

Sets up and controls the operation of single or multiple production machines for the safe process of manufacturing quality products, using measuring tools and standards to evaluate quality of product.

 

Welding – Uses measuring tools, sight and standards to evaluate quality of product.  Must be able to identify materials and pitches and measure accurately.  Operate, set-up and change-over machines, in a safe manner.  Troubleshoot heats,

temperatures, and pressure of welders.  Keeps accurate records as required.

Attention to detail extremely important.

 

Knowledge of safety and manufacturing processes.  Knowledge of products, molds, basic

concepts of machinery, blueprints & pitch. Must be able to read and interpret work orders and read

blueprints.  Must be able to use hand eye coordination to modify products if necessary.

 

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to read and follow written instructions.  Solid math skills, skill in reading blueprints and reading and interpreting

documents required.  In addition, knowledge of manufacturing processes, basic machinery concepts required.  Ability to accurately use measurement equipment,

demonstrated measurement techniques using Vernier calipers, micrometers and ability to distinguish colors.  Understand metric to English and English to metric

conversions.  Ability to enter data into system if required.
