Description

The Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Specialist coordinates the production workflow for multiple products and manages the spare parts inventory.  This position assists in planning operations to ensure efficient and maximum performance by working and collaborating with other departments and scheduling shifts according to needs.The Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Specialist coordinates the production workflow for multiple products and manages the spare parts inventory.  This position assists in planning operations to ensure efficient and maximum performance by working and collaborating with other departments and scheduling shifts according to needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:          

  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products
  • Organize and maintain spare parts inventory
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Determine manpower, equipment and materials needed to cover work schedule
  • Schedule shift according to production needs
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports
  • Keep paperwork organized
  • Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff
  • Work in accordance with safe work practices at all times
  • Other duties as assigned by Management, within scope and ability


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED; technical school a plus
  • Mechanical mindset with ability to think outside the box
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, cold temperature environment
  • Experience working on processing machinery in the foodservice industry a plus
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and parts breakdowns a plus
  • Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by employer
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work overtime, as warranted by business needs

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
