Description

The DAVIS Companies has partnered with a leading Biomedical Manufacturing company near Torrance CA to identify a Quality Control Coordinator for their team! 

Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating testing activities for product and ensuring flow of product throughout several testing areas. This involves monitoring product produced by various Production work cells and making sure that testing of product is prioritized based on customer ship date needs, stocking requirements to ensure adequate inventory, special customer requests and/or first-in first-out (FIFO) methodology. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE QUALITY CONTROL COORDINATOR:

  • Adhere to ISO:9001 guidelines as required.
  • Understand testing capacity of each work cell and schedule accordingly to maximum throughput.
  • Be the key scheduling contact for the quality lab for various departments in the value stream, including Production Scheduler, Product Labeling and Distribution areas.
  • Use Excel or other software system to pull testing and production output data for presentation to various team members.
  • Navigate through enterprise resource planning software to track flow of product throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Identify critical testing needs and prioritize processing accordingly while working with area Manager and Production Scheduler.
  • Understand how to interpret a “pass” or “fail” result to make sure it is processed properly in applicable software data systems.
  • Work with different departments to follow through proper closure of work orders.
  • Support key initiatives as assigned by department Manager.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE OF THE QUALITY CONTROL COORDINATOR:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to clear articulate a problem and help identify solutions to resolve problem.
  • Able to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
