Receiving Clerk

    Job Description

 

 

Primary Job Duties:

 

  1. Accepts and signs for deliveries from various vendors
  2. Open boxes and inspect contents for damage.
  3. Verify products are correct by comparing marking/label on part received and the cross reference on purchase orders in MRP and packing slips
  4. Verify received quantity matches shipped quantity on packing slip.
  5. Create and accurately apply Date and Barcode labels for all material received
  6. Complete all necessary electronic transactions relevant to the receiving process
  7. Transfer processed goods to the proper location such as incoming inspection or main stockroom
  8. Store incoming material in proper location in the stockroom using FIFO logic
  9. Work closely with other departments such as Purchasing, Accounting, Quality and Warehouse to resolve Receiving issues
  10. Will be required to single lift up to 65 lbs
  11. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area following 5S practices
  12. All other duties as assigned
  13. Hours Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

 

Required skills and/or education:

 

  1. Will be required to stand, walk, lift, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor & twisting
  2. Maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods working primarily standing
  3. Must be detail oriented
  4. Strong organizational skills
  5. Familiar with stockroom functions and inventory
  6. Knowledge of basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office. i.e. Word, Excel
  7. Ability to read and comprehend work instructions written in English.
