Description

Our client located in Lexington, MA is looking for a Shipper to join their team. This is a Contract potential to hire role on 1st shift. 

Overview:

Due to continued growth we are seeking a motivated Contract Warehouse Associate to join our growing organization.  This position will be part of a team that is responsible for the execution of receiving, storage, retrieval, packaging and shipping of inventory and non-inventory items in an organized condition. This individual will physically prepare company product, paperwork and labels for shipment to customers.

 Responsibilities:

  • Execute material transactions in company ERP system and use carriers’ computer systems to generate shipping labels, import/export documentation and manage document filing systems
  • Physically unload deliveries, load shipments and inspect materials of all inbound and outbound freight
  • Pick, pack and ship correct items for customer orders by referencing part number, product description, pick location and pick quantity from computer generated work order
  • Interact with all departments and employees within the company to ensure material and supply needs are met in a positive, helpful fashion
  • Generate purchase requisitions for non-inventory items in a timely fashion to ensure consistent supply and availability and stocked shelves of various materials for internal use
  • Perform physical inventory and cycle counting and related transactions in ERP system
  • Must be able to work shift until 6-6:30PM daily (Monday through Friday)

 Requirements:

  • Experience using FedEx Ship Manager, UPS world ship & DHL easy ship
  • Experience with Syteline ERP systems
  • Previous work with biological materials and hazardous materials such as dry ice

Minimum Experience and Education:

  • 3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Basic math skills are required
  • Ability to use computer based tools such as email, MS word, ERP systems, and carrier supplied shipping systems
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems

Physical Demands:

Requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds continuously throughout a minimum 8 hour shift.
