International Logistics Coordinator

The primary responsibility of the Logistics Coordinator will be to monitor orders and schedule international order shipments with a variety of freight carriers for air and ocean shipments

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Daily, run reports
    • 560 report (JDE base report)
    • HTS Code report (Data Access Studio) -  for exporting declaration/ documentation  purposes – this is to calculate how we declare items for exporting
  • Communicate daily with KFS Shipping Department on all orders that are being processed to ship 
  • Communicate with Compliance for any exporting questions
  • Communicate with Customer Service for required documents needed to ship     
  • Communicate with Customer Service and Finance any orders on hold
  • Request estimated weights & dimensions from shipping or courier desk
  • Communicate with Customer Service for clarifications on customer ship instructions.
  • Review orders from the 560 report for the month – communicate with CS and Planning for consolidation if necessary
  • Process shipments after W/D received, create and provide all necessary documentation to export
  • Run Tariff Code Report for export documentation and AES filing
  • Send pick-up requests with required documents  to Freight Forwarder for order pick up
  • Coordinate pick up between Freight Forwarder and KFS Shipping Department – send the shipping instructions to release the freight to the trucker.
  • When needed, send requests to Forwarders for prepaid freight quotes

Skills Required

  • Experience in customer service is requested
  • Showcase knowledge a plus
  • Ability to pay attention in a fast paced environment
  • Must have attention to details
  • Worked JD Edwards operating system is a plus
  • Must be able to multitask
  • International Export Compliance/Export Regulation knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Computer-savvy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
