Description

Our client, Waters Corporation, is seeking a summer intern to help on several Company wide projects within the Business Technology (BT) Department. This is a full-time paid internship. The student will gain hands-on work experience by participating in several work projects focusing on areas such as organizational communication within the enterprise. The student will also be exposed to other areas in the company which the Technology team supports, as opportunities arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, document, and implement a process for understanding how software tools are being used
  • Curate and create self-help information for business end users
  • Analyzing software applications and providing a methodology / templates for reporting evaluation results
  • Update documentation and perform system testing as necessary
  • Coordinate with business units to proactively understand needs for continued improvement efforts

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited university during the academic calendar year, but on summer break
  • Has an understanding of basic technology and software programs (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Website searches)
  • Able to take creative approaches to resolving challenges
  • Strong communications skills (web-conference and interpersonal)
  • Ability to work in an office and corporate environment
  • Self starter, with a driven desire to make change on a broader scale
  • Honest, trustworthy and dependable

Preferred Skills

  • Background or course work in information systems, marketing systems, or business management
  • Project Management experience, PMP coursework or instruction
  • Understanding of design for presentation of information
  • Experience with Agile Project Management and/or Design Thinking Methodologies
