Description

Our client in Norwood, MA is seeking a highly motivated and self-sufficient candidate to join their shipping and receiving team. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for processing all incoming and outgoing shipments to the Norwood facility and all associated record keeping. This includes resupply of empty shippers and reagent kits to client customers, interfacing with the laboratories to replenish supplies and collaborating with the Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate counts.

Primary Responsibilities                                                                                                       

  • Prioritizes dynamic workload in a fast-paced environment to ensure that our internal and external customer orders are met on time
  • Responsible for clear and effective communication with multiple departments
  • Receive multiple shipments daily, including unpacking, opening, and sorting received specimens
  • Assist the Sr. Warehouse staff with materials receipt, warehouse organization, and deliveries between sites.
  • Restock supplies in multiple laboratories between two adjacent facilities utilizing personal vehicle as necessary
  • Assemble and stock empty specimen shippers.
  • Perform daily activities such as generating reports for customer requirements in shipper tracker system, fulfilling customer service orders, and making inventory adjustments
  • Ship Reagent Kits to customers using FedEx. Ship other items by request of employees needing this assistance.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities team on tasks as needed.
  • Perform a variety of special projects or additional work as needed/assigned 
  • Follow all company safety policies & other safety precautions within work area
  • Work to Oxford Immunotec’s clear guiding company values at all times
  • Regular attendance and timeliness is essential for our exciting objectives to be met

Qualifications

  • Experience in a GMP or regulated environment preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work methodically and systematically with attention to detail
  • 2-4 years’ related shipping and receiving experience
  • An understanding of the diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries a plus
  • Must possess excellent problem solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and have a strong customer service orientation and positive attitude.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
