They have an opening for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for the maintenance of the fixed asset records and related depreciation, including projections. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for working on various account and bank reconciliations, posting recurring and correcting journal entries and completing banking compliance documentation.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation for all cash and trust accounts
  • Reconcile and clear bank checks on accounting system on a daily basis
  • Maintain and review fixed assets and accumulated depreciation records 
  • Maintain and track Firm computer equipment inventory 
  • Assist in the preparation of PC’s tax work papers for outside accountant
  • Review and reconcile various GL accounts and prepare necessary journal entries
  • Prepare miscellaneous tax filings such as personal property for all applicable states
  • Set up capital call wires and internal transfers and update firm investment files
  • Provide back up support in reconciling firm investment partnership’s bank accounts
  • Create GL links files for large clients and also be responsible for importing journal entries as well as correcting rejects from various cost upload
  • Provide support to ensure timely, efficient and accurate billing and collection process
  • Work closely with AP team on the vendors set up and update vendor records in the system
  • Assist in completing various surveys
  • Participate in the preparation of supporting schedules for the annual financial audit and annual operating and capital budgets
  • Provide backup support for Accounting Manager
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two to five years of related experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and CPA preferred
  • Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to manage time efficiently
  • Must be highly skilled in use of Excel spreadsheets
