Chief Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer


We are looking for a Chief Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer with a passion for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) development to join a 35 person start-up in the Boston area. The systems we develop are typically the first of their kind and push the limits of what is possible.

As an Chief Engineer, you will lead teams and programs, drive company strategy, and deliver technical contributions to our systems. You will design, build, and fly unmanned aerial vehicles. You will lead a team of talented Aerospace and Mechanical Engineers. 



  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED or the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience leading teams and programs
  • Experience with unmanned aerial systems (fixed wing & VTOL platforms), flight controllers, power systems, sensors, navigation, communications, and R/C-based solutions
  • SolidWorks expertise or similar CAD experience
  • Experience with prototyping fabrication, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and laser cutting
  • Working knowledge of aircraft design, flight mechanics, and aircraft stability and control
  • A BS, MS, or Ph.d in Aerospace Engineering or other relevant field and real world experience in aircraft prototyping
  • A background in R/C aircraft design, fabrication, and flying is a plus
