Description

Field Service Technician
We're currently looking for a Field Service Technician to work on capital equipment installations and on large steel machinery. This individual will work with installers and customers at existing and/or new plants and be responsible for turnkey installations, maintaining, repairing and upgrading a wide variety of steel machinery. The role is a direct hire position in Alpharetta with full medical, dental and vision benefits with matching 401K.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for turnkey capital equipment installations, maintaining, repairing and upgrading a wide variety of shot blast machinery at our customer facilities
  • Writing reports and programs on complete jobs
  • Calling customers to ensure the quality of work and selling additional company services when in office
  • Serves as the company representative working directly with customers to provide technical support and training
  • Will direct contractors and a team of installers throughout the entire start up/commissioning phase.
  • Responsible for Trouble shooting, Preventative Maintenance, and Inspections on equipment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant experience in the field
  • Working knowledge of welding, electronics, motors, pneumatics, equipment erection and blueprint reading
  • Working knowledge of PLC's (Allen Bradley preferably) and other industrial control systems
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Experience with bearings, motors and someone with a welding background is a plus
  • 70% travel Majority Domestic with some International (Mexico and Canada)
