Description

Industrial Engineering Manager

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and lead the industrial engineering team within the manufacturing group
  • Member of the manufacturing/operations management team
  • Conduct benchmarking activities, and translate these into road maps for improvement within the manufacturing organization
  • Standard Costs (Direct Labor) - responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance and accuracy of direct labor routers.
  • Labor Productivity - develop and maintain lists of productivity opportunities to eliminate waste and drive / support engineering / operational efforts to deliver on opportunities.
  • Drive productivity improvements throughout the manufacturing organization
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, work instructions, standards and procedures throughout manufacturing
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and training to enhance employee professional development and value to the business
  • Development, definition and implementation of production strategy both in the short and long term

Job requirements

  • A driven people manager whose attitude will enable him or her to manage change in a constructive way, and lift the organization to unseen levels utilizing production processes and technology
  • Experience Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, lean daily management and continuous improvement.
  • Affinity with low volume high mix production.
  • Able to think independently
