Description

The Davis Companies is recruiting for a Lead Electrical Engineer to work for a large company located in Ramsey, MN.  This is a permanent/direct hire opportunity with one of our growing clients! 

Responsibilities of the Lead Electrical Engineer:

  • Research, design, develop, plan, and select components for electromechanical, electronic control systems, and directs and/or coordinates activities involved in the fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of commercial and industrial products and systems.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager with leading and mentoring junior engineers and technicians throughout the development cycle to include performance reviews, training and workflow management.

Requirements of the Lead Electrical Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent as well as 5-7 years of experience is required.
  • Experience with electrical panel layout, schematic design, ladder logic programming (Rockwell Automation-RSLogix5000, Factory Talk View, RSLinx, and Connected Components Workbench), system testing and troubleshooting is essential.
  • A strong understanding of electrical power distribution principles and design as well as an ability to learn the application and implementation of VFD’s for motor control is desired.
  • Electrical CAD/SolidWorks Electrical experience preferred. Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and UL (508a & 1995), as well as best practices for control panel design is required.
  • Previous supervision experience is required. Candidate must be proficient using Windows Office, and ERP software
