Description

Position: Mechanical Inspector

1st shift- multiple openings


Job Purpose: The incoming Mechanical Inspector is responsible for receiving, verifying, counting, and inspecting using a variety of tools and equipment such as calipers, optical comparators, height gages, micrometers, pin gages and other common inspection tools. Good working knowledge of MRP systems is required. Receivers may interact with purchasing and quality to resolve issues. Some exertion of force or heavy lifting is required of this position. You will provide training and guidance to others in this function, and meet all previous level requirements. Inspect incoming raw materials, mechanical parts and subassemblies. Conduct complete first piece inspection to assure incoming product meets all documented criteria. Process material transactions for inspected material.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent Mechanical Inspection skills
  • Experience with MRP systems
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Knowledge of FIFO system
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple duties
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, with the understanding of tolerance and work from written instructions
  • Attention to detail
  • Good computer skills

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Requirements: Employees who handle PCBs or any sensitive components are required to wear ESD protection at all times. The ESD devices must be tested before use.
