Description

NDT Level II (1st or 2nd Shift)

Summary:  Perform non-destructive testing activities to ensure that product meets customer requirements.

Responsibilities:  

1. Working from drawings, specifications, work orders and general instructions, will perform non-destructive test inspections on a variety of aerospace parts. Check materials for consistency, contamination and sensitivity.

2. Set up and calibrate equipment and conduct tests. Monitor equipment and related gages. Interpret, evaluate and document results in accordance with written procedures and customer specifications.

3. Record inspection reports, issue rejection documentation and maintain records, data, logs, etc.

4. Interpret and evaluate defective material.

5. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.

6. Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.

7. Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment. 

8. Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other positions. Accomplish related results as needed.

 

Qualifications:

Education: 

High school graduate/GED

 

Certified:

NDT Level II (FPI &MPI)

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
