Our client in Hillsborough County is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team on a direct hire basis. 

The Process Engineer would work with a cross-functional team to evaluate, troubleshoot, design, and implement improvements in the manufacturing process in order to achieve the production goals of the organization.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment to achieve production goals of the organization
• Identify and develop process equipment needed to produce specific products, parts, and components
• Use statistical methods and engineering fundamentals to analyze, troubleshoot and improve manufacturing processes
• Collaborate on initiatives to implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
• Qualify new materials and suppliers
• Support Quality functions

Education and Experience:  

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Plastics Engineering (or equivalent)

3-5 years of experience

Competencies

• Working knowledge of Engineering Principles, including basic mechanical and electrical design, strength of materials, statics, and heat transfer
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must be comfortable working with all levels of organization
• Experience in rubber extrusion and molding is a plus
• Experience with machine shop processes is required
• Strong problem solving/troubleshooting
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing preferred
