Product Development Engineer
Direct Hire position with a rapidly expanding contract manufacturing operation in Atlanta, GA, looking to add a Product Development Engineer to their team. If you are looking for a dynamic role working on a variety of interesting projects, this position could be for you! 


  • Utilize customer designs, drawings and specifications to ensure manufacturable design, complete necessary documentation, lead New Product Introduction (NPI) process and issue production release 
  • Evaluate technical feasibility of manufacturing new and revised customer products, and make recommendations to customers for design changes that reduce cost or complexity
  • Review, develop, modify and release technical documentation including mechanical drawings, schematics, bill of materials, PPAP submissions, and inspection procedures through the engineering change notification system 
  • Coordinate the development, prototyping, and initial production of product 
  • Will lead own NPI projects and/or support Senior Product Development Engineer on complex product development and NPI projects 
  • Assist in managing project schedules to achieve on-time documentation of product specifications, customer approval of sample submission, and production launch 
  • Review and coordinate changes on 2D and 3D part and assembly drawings 
  • Arrange or conduct testing/validation of prototypes and completion of internal and customer qualification requirements 
  • Sustaining support of parts in production via customer-driven or manufacturing-driven change management and technical resolution of quality issues 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or MET and 5-10 years of direct professional experience
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) schedules
  • Experience with various manufacturing
  • Experience creating and modifying drawings in Solidworks and Autocad
