Description

One of our clients in Oxnard, CA is looking to find a Quality Manager for their fast growing and state of the art facility.  This person would be responsible for managing a Quality Assurance group to support the demanding quality expectations of defense customers leveraging teamwork, execution, and communication.

Responsibilities of Quality Manager

  • Implement and lead CAPA cross-functional quality efforts
  • Develop a multi-discipline purchase order review process and establish a method of Q-notes requirement flow-down and tracking
  • Provide a quality assurance set of metrics to measure the effectiveness of development and new product engineering
  • Provide supplier quality leadership in support of a zero-defect initiative, implement a process to drive defect detection and resolution with suppliers
  • Establish a robust root-cause and corrective action process
  • Develop and present cost of quality and business unit metrics
  • Establish robust AS9100 D processes and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the processes

Qualifications of Quality Manager

  • Proven experience as a quality assurance manager or equivalent role
  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies or quality assurance and standards
  • Proven experience in business negotiation and relationship management
  • Experience in the electronics industry
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Experience in building and navigating within high performing teams
  • Strong project management skills; resource planning, scheduling and multi-discipline project coordination
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of implementing quality tools
  • US Citizenship required


Requirements of Quality Manager:

  • B.S. in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Administration, MBA preferred
  • AS9100 audit and implementation experience
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive management experience in process improvement, change management within the areas of quality, product delivery, new product introduction, and customer facing activities
  • Six-Sigma Black Belt is preferred
