Senior Electric Motor Repair Technician:
We are currently seeking a Senior Electric Motor Repair Technician for our client in Suwanee, GA. Our client is a repair facility for precision motorized and belt driven spindles. We're looking for someone familiar with servo motors, ac motors, dcmotors, frequency drives, closed loop spindle drives, etc.
 
Responsibilities of the Senior Electric Motor Repair Technician:
  • Analyzing, testing and repairing of spindles, motors, encoders, thermistors, servo motors, ac motors, dc motors, frequency drives, closed loop spindle drives, controls, feedback devices, sensors etc.
  • Inspect components and sub-assemblies.
  • Perform component failure analysis as required.
  • Perform in-process testing of motors, encoders, thermistors, etc.
  • Document and maintain electrical standards during all steps of the repair process through testing.
  • Occasionally take service calls from customer to troubleshoot over the phone.
 
Requirements of the Senior Electric Motor Repair Technician:
 
  • 2-5 years experience troubleshooting and repairing servo motors, ac motors, dc motors, frequency drives, closed loop spindle drives, controls, feedback devices , encoders, thermistors, sensors etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot down to board level all above components and systems without the help of wiring diagrams, blueprints, or schematics. 
  • Must be knowledgeable in the use of Oscilloscopes, Multi-Meters, and encoder testers. 
  • MUST be a self-starter. They would like this person to run with the department and build it out into it's own separate division.
  • Experience working with customers on service calls to diagnose issues over the phone and occasionally on site (1-2 times per year). 
  • Experience with precision motorized and belt driven spindles. 
  • Capable of performing soldering (lead free) and electrical plug repair/replacement.
  • Experience in a lead or management role is a plus.
