Description

Senior Electrical Engineer
We are currently seeking a senior level electrical engineer having 5-10+ years of experience designing electronic circuit card assemblies. This position requires extensive knowledge of complex digital and analog design experience including simulation tools such as Pspice (or equivalent).  Design activities involve power supplies (AC/DC, buck/boost), analog and digital design, LED lighting systems, CPLDs, high speed digital interfaces, reviewing PCB layouts, R&D activities, and interfacing with other engineering disciplines (software/mechanical/systems/production test engineering).  Travel is limited.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of analog and digital design
  • Utilize schematic capture software tools to design circuits and systems to meet product design requirements
  • Develop PCB layout constraints and work with layout engineers in order to complete PCB layout design with DFM constraints
  • Design and perform board level and system level testing in order to prove that designs meet specified requirements
  • Prepare product design verification reports by perform board level testing and derating analysis of components
  • Provide failure analysis on systems and boards in order to drive product improvements to current and future designs

Requirements

  • Minimum BSEE or related degree
  • 5-10 years related experience
  • Allegro OrCAD schematic capture
  • Mentor Graphics PADS
  • Experience with EMI/EMC certification processes
  • UL 60950 and UL62368 certification experience is a plus
