The Electro-Mechanical Engineering will be a part of our rapidly growing medical robotics division. Here, we develop medical robots by working with top surgeons and a cross-functional engineering team. The individual will be responsible for providing technical support to the Manufacturing teams as well as supporting maintenance procedures and equipment.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide technical support to the Manufacturing effort
  • Support maintaining procedures and equipment used for manufacturing robotic products
  • Assist engineering in sustaining activities to address life cycle issues, continuous improvement, reliability, and cost reductions
  • Partner with Product Development on new product introduction (NPI) as part of a cross-functional team
  • Build electro mechanical test fixtures and assembly aides for use in manufacturing
  • Assist in product builds if needed to meet production demands
  • Generate change orders to update documentation and BOMs for released product
  • Adhere to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of the client.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1-4 years of mechanical engineering experience OR a high school degree with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area; experience with large capital medical equipment a plus
  • Familiarity with GMP environment – reading, checking, updating BOMs, schematics, and machining drawings; IEC and IPC standards
  • Ability to build electro mechanical fixtures
  • Experience with ISO requirements, FDA Regulations, and cGMP’s a plus
  • Experience with Solidworks a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as a key contributor in small teams
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and E-mail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
