Description

We are currently hiring for a Coating Technician on 2nd or 3rd shift who is interested in a career path in to Engineering! These are direct hire positions with full training, stability and overtime. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operating the coating chamber per the production schedule.
  • Sets up vacuum coating chambers for e-beam, ion assisted deposition and ion beam sputtering coating processes.
  • Performs single & multilayer coatings.
  • Performs metrology testing i.e. spectrometry, interferometery, ellipsometry, absorption and damage threshold testing.
  • Records crystal & optical thickness for each layer.
  • Works with coating team to improve coating yield, efficiency and chamber up-time.
  • Changes foil/bead blast tooling. 
  • Follows manufacturing procedures. 
  • Cleaning and Inspecting parts both before and after deposition process. 
  • Troubleshoots problems in vacuum coating process equipment, leak detect vacuum system, repair cryo systems, mechanical  pumps.
  • Troubleshoot test and align optical monitoring systems. 
  • Maintains detailed and accurate process records.  Performs single & multilayer coatings.

Primary Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in an Engineering Discipline
  • Experience using computers and software i.e. Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
  • Must be able to work in a Laboratory setting
