Our client located in Fall River, MA is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join their team. 

The Electro-Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for: supporting the overall corporate goals and objectives through assembly, test and repair of products per the production schedule and to quality standards.

Responsibilities of the EM Assembler:

  • Assemble final product from fabricated parts & sub-assemblies to production plan
  • Test and calibrate sub-systems and systems per design & customer requirements • Visual inspection of finished goods and prepare for shipment
  • Identify materials that fail test or non-conforming and follow disposition procedures • Triage and repair in-process non-conforming materials or returned product
  • Timely completion of build process and work tracking documentation • Maintenance and cleanliness of shop tools and work area
  • Participate in contract review and planning process
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts as needed
  • Periodic customer requirements may involve extended work day 

Requirements for the EM Assembler:

  • High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent
  • Experience in commercial electro-mechanical manufacturing industry
  • >5 years working in electro-mechanical production environment, experience with power tools bench top test equipment, soldering and cable assemby, circuit board assembly and test is required.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques desirable
  • Certification in soldering techniques highly desirable
  • Ability to read & understand engineering documentation
  • Prior exposure to shop scheduling and production control
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials and safety procedures
  • Strong organizational skills, judgment and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with ability to work in fast paced, tight deadline environment
  • Process tracking and data entry skills
