Field Application Technician


  • Will perform field service, remote phone support and system build support as required by customer. 
  • Responsible for completing required documentation in a timely manner. 
  • Will be representing the company and its product in a professional manner while interacting with customers and assisting with any issues that arise.
  • Will be responsible to equipment and up time at two customer plants.


  • Configures system hardware, software and network components.
  • Assembles and integrates system/product, and verifies system/product operation.
  • Uses proactive monitoring procedures to identify problem prevention opportunities.
  • Conducts customer training; organizes and presents information to convey major points clearly and persuasively.
  • Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met.
  • Handles customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately, escalates issues according to established procedures.
  • Is available to support 24/7 service plan customers.
  • Communicates objectives and results relating to installations and/or inspection issues.
  • Where appropriate, conducts applications support to customer to optimize inspection system.

Skills required

  • Associate degree, technical courses or applicable experience
  • Automation field with preference to machine vision equipment experience or at least familiarity and experience with factory automation and manufacturing equipment.
  • Must have industry knowledge and experience in manufacturing automation components and programmable devices.  
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office
  • Must be well organized, have professional written and verbal communication and be able to work well under stress.

Salary $60-70K depending on experience
